Oh how I love thrifting. I found some nifty canisters on my recent trip. $3 for both. Nice, right?
They had a cute shape, but uggggly color!
I gave it a quick coat of primer.
(by the way, my spray paint gun is my new BEST friend!!)
I decided I liked the white, so I gave it a few good coats of white spray paint.
Added a vinyl # 1 and 2
(using my handy cricut machine!)
Hot glued on a little twine.....
Voila, new canisters that are cuuuute!

ReplyDeleteI am with you! I love thrift store shopping and bought a whole set of canisters and thanks for sharing the idea. Now, I can spray paint it into a color that I want since I wanted to paint our kitchen wall again.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find your spray paint gun?
ReplyDeleteAngela,
ReplyDeleteI got it at Lowe's. It is was hanging up near the spray paint section. It was under $3 I think. I love it!
How well is the spray paint holding up on those canisters? Any chipping? I've wanted to spray paint ceramic but I'm not sure how well it will work. I just don't want it to chip off from being used.
ReplyDeleteThat is so great! It is nice to know more about that chalkboard spray paint. I am going to get my first can today for a few projects I have in the works. Can't wait to see more projects!
