Nursery Reveal: Part 2

I showed you my crib transformation in Part 1 of my nursery reveal.

Ready for Part 2?

I had a dresser that was in great shape. The only problem was that it was the same icky honey oak color as my crib.

It had to go!

I started with this:

After a lot of primer, spray paint, and polyacrylic, this is what I have now!

I replaced these knobs:

With these beeeeeeeee-utiful amethyst colored crystal knobs:

So girlie.  I love it!

Now all that is left is to show you the rest of the room!

  5. I can't wait to see the how-to on spray painting furniture. I recently tried to spray paint a picture frame that was black and I ruined it. It looked awful! Nice job on the dresser!

  12. I've been wondering about this for years, and a friend just referred me to your blog today. I'm excited to try spray-painting my daughters dresser! It's the dresser I was given when I was 12 - about 25 years ago, and is great shape but a yucky stained color. Can't wait to try this!!

  13. I hope you aren't spray painting this yourself while pregnant. Those aerosols are full of aromatics that I wouldn't really want to be around when incubating a baby.

  14. @Anonymous,
Yes, I did spray paint all this myself. I bought an *awesome* paint mask that kept me from breathing in all the chemicals. Thanks for your concern :)

  15. Finding this post is timely! Everything turned out beautifully. I am pregnant with baby number 5 and a friend gave me a crib. It def needs a refinish. I will try your technique with the crib and dresser I have. I hope it is as great as yours. I would love to know how you made the bedding!?
