Nursery Reveal: Part 2

I showed you my crib transformation in Part 1 of my nursery reveal.

Ready for Part 2?

I had a dresser that was in great shape. The only problem was that it was the same icky honey oak color as my crib.

It had to go!

I started with this:

After a lot of primer, spray paint, and polyacrylic, this is what I have now!

I replaced these knobs:

With these beeeeeeeee-utiful amethyst colored crystal knobs:

So girlie.  I love it!

Now all that is left is to show you the rest of the room!

  1. Coming to you from The shabby shic cottage...I am happy to be your newest follower. I am currently spray painting a dresser too. ORB for me. YOurs looks so cute!! PLease stop by for book club or blog design if you're interested--connie,

  2. Your nursery is just amazing. I love the crib and your newly finished dresser. Those knobs are so heavenly!

  3. wow you did great. love it! saw you on shabby chic cottage.

  4. Sarah,
I love it too! Looks great I'm ready to try spray paint(once the weather gets warmer).

  5. I can't wait to see the how-to on spray painting furniture. I recently tried to spray paint a picture frame that was black and I ruined it. It looked awful! Nice job on the dresser!

  6. Love the crib and now loving your dresser. Those knobs are just so girly! Can't wait to see the rest of the room!

  7. I'll take spray paint over a brush any day! Great results!

  8. I love how the dresser turned out!! Great job!
I would love for you to link up at my first linky party! :)

  9. FAN-FRICKING-TASTIC! Amazing job! Love it! Want it!
Thanks for linking up to Making It With Allie! I can't wait to see what you have for next week!

  10. Ohh, I can't wait for your tutorial on how to spray paint furniture. I have my eye on repainting my dressers and that would be so lovely to have a tutorial to follow!! Bug Hugs...

  11. It looks awesome! Love it! Way to go!

  12. I've been wondering about this for years, and a friend just referred me to your blog today. I'm excited to try spray-painting my daughters dresser! It's the dresser I was given when I was 12 - about 25 years ago, and is great shape but a yucky stained color. Can't wait to try this!!

  13. I hope you aren't spray painting this yourself while pregnant. Those aerosols are full of aromatics that I wouldn't really want to be around when incubating a baby.

  14. @Anonymous,
Yes, I did spray paint all this myself. I bought an *awesome* paint mask that kept me from breathing in all the chemicals. Thanks for your concern :)

  15. Finding this post is timely! Everything turned out beautifully. I am pregnant with baby number 5 and a friend gave me a crib. It def needs a refinish. I will try your technique with the crib and dresser I have. I hope it is as great as yours. I would love to know how you made the bedding!?

I truly enjoy and appreciate EVERY comment! Thank you for taking the time to comment, and stop by my blog!
