I mentioned here that our playroom has long been a huge collection of toys. Some organization, but mostly chaos!
I've been trying to change that with a few projects, like my DIY Industrial Dress-up Storage, and our awesome Lego Table.
Well, I finally tackled the whole room. I'll give you a run down of what I changed, and maybe you can get some inspiration for your own space!
ART CENTER
First up, I created an art center for my oldest, Miss J. She loves to craft, and that means that my house is a constant mess, in every room.
Her table is the exact same table I used for our Lego Table. It's the IKEA Ingo Dining Table. I spray painted it white, and sealed it well. For a tutorial on painting and sealing furniture, check out this post!

It seriously holds so much stuff- and looks super cute!
And can we just admire those curtains? LOVE. THEM.
I also grabbed a lazy susan at IKEA, and some cute metal buckets to create this spinning supply station. Cute, right?!
My child is seriously the queen of tape, so a sturdy wooden tape dispenser was also needed.
WALL DECOR
I found these awesome wood letters (which are HUGE!) at Hobby Lobby. After giving them a quick coat of shiny gold spray paint, they were ready for our {new} playroom!
I transformed our "stage" area with some gold dots from Walls Need Love. This was BY FAR the easiest project in this room. I just kind of randomly stuck them on.
Was going for a "confetti" look. Because you know, our playroom is party central!
STORAGE CABINETS
Those storage cabinets also got a makeover. They were a boring brown. I painted them Sherwin Williams Gauntlet Gray. About 3 shades darker than my walls. I love how they turned out!
To add the numbers to the bins, I just cut out some vinyl. As seen in this post!
ps-the old vinyl numbers I had on there have lasted for the last 3 years!
DRESS UP CENTRAL
We also have the dress up corner.
I LOVE this plastic dresser thing from Target. It holds SO MUCH. Because all you moms know that dress up stuff can get out of control-real fast!
Got all the princess shoes. Lined up!
PLAYHOUSE
The last piece of our playroom to get a makeover was our playhouse. I painted the outside Rich Navy, by Benjamin Moore. And then I spray painted the roof gold.
Because it needed a little glamour!
Love those gold shingles!
This beloved structure is here to stay.
Literally, because it's so heavy and big. And figuratively, because it's Miss J's doctor office!
